Don’t Sweat It.

Hey there from Words of Life Evangelism.
I’m am so blessed to be back with you today. I am so sorry that I have not posted in the last 5 days. Life has gotten busy with family. That brings us to our topic today.

Too often in life, we worry about things that we can not control. No matter what it is, we can’t seem to not worry about things. I get that it’s hard not to worry, because sometimes there are those times in life where things feel overwhelming.

Even though there are times where things get overwhelming, there are also times where we worry over the smallest things. We worry if a rainstorm is going to hit or we worry about what someone is going to think about us…choose whatever example you would like. The fact of the matter is, on certain things there is not a thing you can do about it. You can’t control the weather, so why worry about it? God wants us to be wise, that is for certain, but He doesn’t want you sit and work yourself into a frenzy or live by what if’s.
We spend way to much time worrying about things. Do you know that God has told us not to worry? He even goes as far as to give us a cure for anxiety.
Look at Matthew 6:25-34

V.25“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? V.26“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? V.27“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? V.28“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, V.29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. V.30“But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! V.31“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ V.32“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. V.33“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

V.34“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

When we sit around and worry, all it does is make us sick to our stomach. It can develop health problems and really all it does is steal our joy away from us which, is exactly what the enemy wants to do.

We can’t live our life by what if’s. Like I said before, God wants us to be wise. He gives us the ability to prepare for struggles, physically and spiritually. If you have a garden, it is God that makes the food grow. You can plant and water and tend to the weeds but it is God that gives the increase because He is providing for you. Not one person can add a single second to his or her life by worrying.

You can’t sweat it. If you sit around and worry all day about things you can’t control, it will just make you miserable and it will make your family miserable, and that is not how God designed us to be. He designed us to enjoy spending time with Him, and loving Him, and worshiping Him, and loving one another. God doesn’t want us to sweat it. He even tells us in 1 Peter 5:6-10

V.6Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, V.7casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. V.8Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. V.9But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. V.10After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
God wants you to give Him your problems, He wants you to come to Him when you are worried. He wants you to have that relationship with Him.

So when you are stressed give it to God.

When you are worried give it to God.

No matter what the issue, God will help you through it and take the anxieties on Himself.

That doesn’t mean the trial will stop, but it does mean that He will give you what you need to get through it.
Whether it is a bad medical diagnosis, God’s got this.

Whether it is issues with your finances, God’s got this.
Whether it is issues in a marriage, or children, or a family problem, God’s got this.
There is nothing that goes on in our life that God can’t take care of and we are foolish to think otherwise.

Don’t sweat it God’s got you and He’s never going to let you down.

Are you in a place right now where you feel like God has left you alone or forgotten you?

Are you in that spot right now where you don’t really know if you belong to God or not, and you just feel like something is missing? God’s waiting for you with His arms open.

All you have to do is believe and ask Him to come into your heart and He will come running to you and throw His arms around you and say I love you son/daughter, welcome back.

Whatever your issue, God is there and He wants to help, all you have to do is give it over to Him.

I want to thank you for taking your time to join us today, and pray that this word that God has laid on my heart is encouraging and insightful for you. I pray that the Holy Spirit will use this to touch you and encourage you to seek Him. God loves you so much that He will never give up on you. He’s going to keep trying. Remember we are never guaranteed a second in life. Every second is a gift… don’t waste the gifts God gives you.

The greatest testimony you can ever have, is that you didn’t waste a second of the time God has given you. Don’t wait, ask God into your heart right now, and He’ll be there. He is waiting and ready.
