Give me your eyes

Good morning:
I first must apologize for the topic today I told you yesterday it was going to be on relationship and religion, but as I sat down to write this The Holy Spirit directed me in a different direction. As I explained in my first blog, I will go where and when God wants me to, and today He has directed today’s message.

Throughout scripture there are many examples of how Jesus wants us to interact with people and how we as believers are to treat people. The unfortunate thing is, at times we don’t remember that. Because in life we have become influenced by our surroundings, as much as we try not to be, we still are. Jesus came to save. Jesus came to serve and not be served. Jesus messed with a lot of peoples mindsets when He came. You see throughout history people have had a certain way they believed things should be done. Which is not a bad thing to want things done a certain way in certain areas where it’s at a job or a project at the house, those are all okay to want things done a certain way.

The problem is when we start trying to change things around that God wants done a certain way, it’s a problem. You can see this throughout scripture that God had a certain way He wanted things done, and people decided to do it a different way. I want you to understand something, God is not afraid of us putting our own unique spin on things within reason, that’s what makes us so interesting. God made us all unique and He wants us to use the gifts that He has given us to spread the Gospel and grow His kingdom. God’s plan is going to play out and nothing we do is going to change that, but He will use the willing to carry out his plan.

The problem with our thought process is, we like to point out who we think God can use. We see people with tattoos and piercings and we look at them and think God can’t use them because they don’t look and act like me. Do you understand that if everyone looked and acted the same, this world would be a very boring place. And did I forget to mention that God can use whomever God chooses?

God sees the heart of people, we see the outside. The Lord can choose to use whomever He desires to use.

Look at scripture, there are tons of people that we wouldn’t think that God could use. But He does and thankfully He doesn’t ask our permission to use people.

One such example is a man named Saul who was going around and persecuting and killing all who believed in Jesus Christ.

This man was a very smart man…he knew the scriptures, he knew the prophecy about the coming Messiah and he still chose to persecute and even kill believers.

This man was going about with a legal decree to kill anyone he found who believed in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

The Lord even sent him to a believer named Ananias. When the Lord told Ananias about this, Ananias didn’t want to do what God told him. He even said in Acts 9:13-14 “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. V. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.” Ananias didn’t want to go. You see he knew who Saul was and what he had been doing and he didn’t want that to happen to him. In the end though Ananias obeyed The Lord and went and prayed for Saul. You can read the full story of this in Acts chapter 9. Just because we don’t think someone should be used by God, doesn’t mean a thing, because like I said before God looks at the heart. There are many more examples of people God used that society would say there’s no way God would use you.

If we could take a step back and ask God to give me your eyes to see people as You see them. You might be amazed at what you will see in those people you think God can’t use. God can use everyone if they’re willing. We just need to look on people as God looks on them, in order to accomplish that. We need to allow God to change our hearts and show us what we need to see.
So will you allow God to move in your life today and use you in the way He wants to?
Have you accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord and Savior? If the answer is no, do you want to do that today and ask Jesus to save you right now and to come into your heart, and take away your sins and make you new?

I pray that you will allow Jesus Christ to move in your life. Whatever the need is, He can help. He loves you more than anyone could ever love you and He’s seeking you out and waiting for you to come to Him. All you have to do is Believe. Don’t make it hard, Jesus said believe. He is the only one that can save you from sin and the only way to heaven. I pray you allow Him into your heart today, and if you want me to pray for you get hold of me at the bottom left corner of the page and shoot me an email and I will pray for you. I also have the path to salvation on the right side of the page. Whatever your need is, I’ll pray for you. Just know whether or not you contact me, know that I’m praying for you.
