Hey there from words of Life Evangelism.
The last time we were together we talked about when the storm rages. Now I want to take some time to talk about something that is hindering people from coming to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. That issue is, people thinking that because of what they have done, Christ won’t want them.

This is a sad thought, but I have heard this so many times in a lot of people I have spoken with. They believe they are not good enough for Christ to accept them. Or He won’t accept them because of their past, or that they have screwed up so bad that He will reject them.
This couldn’t be further from the truth. God loves you! He loves you so much that He sent His one and only son to die for you. When Jesus died, He didn’t die for just certain sins, He died for all sins past, present, and future. No matter what you do God still wants you.

Jesus didn’t die with a list of sins he would forgive and if your sin isn’t on that list, then you can’t be forgiven. It was all sin. The problem is, we spend more time telling people this long list of what we have to do to come to Christ, that it is driving people away. Look at the people Jesus called to follow Him.
He called fishermen, tax collectors, murderers…He called all kinds of people. Now I know fishermen and tax collectors don’t sound bad, but you have to look at their culture. Back then, tax collectors were some of the most hated people in the community, because they were thought of as thieves. Paul was killing believers of Christ and yet God called Him and he ended up writing the largest part of the New Testament.
I’m so glad that God’s word is honest. He put things in the bible that I’m not sure I would have put in there. But God wants us to see that the people He called were just like you and me. They were just normal people but the difference is, they said yes.

Listen, there isn’t a long list of things that you have to do to be worthy of coming to Christ. That’s the whole thing…we’re not worthy. None of us deserves Christ but he loves us and is willing to accept us as we are as long as we ask for forgiveness.
Christ will save who ever calls on him. He will forgive anyone who calls on His name and believes on Him for salvation.
Look at what is written in Romans 10:5-13
5Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.”a 6But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ”b (that is, to bring Christ down) 7“or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’ ”c (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”d that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”e 12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
This says everyone, it doesn’t say everyone except people who have done certain things, it says everyone. Period.

There is nothing you can do to make God not want you, nothing.
The Lord is fighting for you everyday, trying to get you to listen and see His love for you.

All you have to do is believe on Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
No matter what.

So is that where you are right now?

Do you believe that you have gone so far that God doesn’t want you anymore?

Maybe you have been told you have to do a lot of different things to be saved?

If this is you, I’m here to tell you, that you only have to do one thing to be saved and that is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you will be saved and you will be forgiven of your sins.
I want you to know that I am praying for you and that I want you to know if there is a specific request you have, to please get hold of me by my email on the bottom left of the home page and I will pray with you and for you. I’m here for you, all you have to do is ask. If you have enjoyed our time together, please follow me on Facebook.com/wordsoflifeevangelism or Google+.

Until next time, I want you to remember: God Loves you and so do I.
