The Truth

Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
The word “truth” in our world, has been twisted to the point that sometimes it’s not even recognizable anymore. The word truth has now become whatever you want it to be. Truth has been watered down so much that people have lost their measure for it. People say that truth is relative.

When Jesus made this statement, He was answering a question from one of the disciples. Thomas was asking Jesus how they would know the way.

This is where we are today, things have gotten so twisted and misguided that people don’t know what to believe. This is not a new problem, this problem has been around since the fall of man. God told Adam & Eve to not eat from the tree of good & evil and when they did, the whole world changed. People traded God’s truth for false gods and man’s intellect, thinking that they could do it on their own. They thought they could determine their own truth. This has lead to so many issues in our society today. We have even come to the point that when someone tries to show someone the truth, if it doesn’t line up with what they believe, then that person is intolerant or they think the other person is lying.

So we are in the same position that Thomas was back when Jesus addressed his question. People have lost the ability to know the way they should go. The only way to find the truth is to see the Truth, God’s Truth. God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. God gave us everything that we need, it’s whether or not we are going to choose to follow and seek Him. That choice is between you and God. God wants a relationship with you not a religion. The choice is yours and yours alone. No one can accept the truth for you, you must make the choice.

John 3:16-18

v. 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. v.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. v.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. v.19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. v.20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. v.21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

God sacrificed everything to have a relationship with you. He wants you to come to him. He wants a relationship with you not religion. God said believe on my son Jesus Christ and you will be saved. This is not difficult, don’t make it that way. God is waiting for you to listen to the Truth.

I am so blessed that you have taken time out of your schedule to read this message. I pray that you would ask the Holy Spirit for direction and that you would seek God’s Truth. The world will tell you a lot of things and there are a lot of people out there telling you God’s not real and that He doesn’t exist. The people that don’t have the Truth are the ones who will tell you not to worry about this, to not worry about a relationship with God because it doesn’t matter. The problem with what they believe, is that a relationship with God does matter.

God willingly gave up His life for you so that you could have access to Him. That is the Truth, no man or idea can change that, God wants you to come to Him. He wants to save you from your sins, all you have to do is repent, which means turn from your sins and ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness and ask Him to become leader and controller of your life and most importantly just Believe.
